Garfield Road Tower Finally Erected
After many months of delays, a tower located at Belfast Mini Mills on
the Garfield Rd has now been erected. "This tower has been in the works
since November of 2008 but was siderailed after the government
announcement that they were working with Aliant to provide island wide
coverage via the phone lines in that same month," says Wayne Phelan
President of ISN Wireless. "This tower will provide much better
service to our existing customers in the area as well as serve those
from Point Prim to Wood Islands along the South Shore," says Phelan.
Many people were confused and thought we sold to Aliant after the
government announcement but we want to tell everyone that we are alive
and well and continuing to grow.
A special thanks to Doug Nobles and all those at the Mini Mills who made
this possible by donating the land and also to the Meerburgs who
previously donated space on their silo that was taken down last Fall.
"I was sad to see the farm in Flat River close and want to pass on a
special thanks to Frank and his family."
Anyone looking for service in the area, please call the office.
Veteran's Affairs Fibre Contract
We are pleased to announce that we won a bid to connect by fibre the
Veteran's Affairs office located in the Ellis Bros Shopping back to
their other sites."This is the 3rd fibre-to-the-door tender we won and
it's really exciting" says Wayne Phelan, President of ISN Wireless.
"Eventually, it would be great if we were able to extend fibre right
into peoples homes."
Southern Kings Capacity Upgrade
Upgrades were made to increase capacity at the tower in Southern Kings.
We now have the capacity for another 100 homes in this area. Give us a
call again!
